Professional Help

With the winter season fast approaching, we need to speed up the build and there’s professional help available. Tom, Bodie or Doyle of Bodie and Doyle fame, is available for a few weeks.

First week spent finishing those minor jobs that never feel worth starting, if that makes sense? Fascia ends, fan covers (a couple of extra holes for the extractors in the two upstairs en-suites – the gable end is looking way too full), back boxes in the old building wall (now in the link).

Did someone say the drainage was finished? For crying out …. the back and front door now have their slot drains (another fine job Tom – even ‘Milky’ was impressed)

Island ‘first fix’ and outdoor sockets.

The templates have been done by Granite House using a fancy piece of kit that goes beep for £15,000. Creates a digital template that half a million pounds worth of machinery will then cut the required material.

Tom’s also doing a great job on the kitchen floor

And the ceiling’s gone in the lounge – not stolen, blown, rotted, no, it’s been taken down, first step in the second phase of the build. The heating and hot water loops are heading that way from the new boiler.

Slight ‘fail’ in the new ‘old’ doorway – not a lot supporting the inside of the wall.

The tile cutter’s quite a machine – it was a case of hire or buy, three hires and you’ve bought it. If you need one, our rates are reasonable.
