Almost Spring

It must be, the ducks are going nuts and the building sand has finally defrosted.

Tom had a spare day, so on with more paving, the tile cutter came in handy to create the angle for the curvy bit.

With the sun shining the following weekend, time to create a border between the old fence and new path. We’d anticipated making the patio wider and left the existing concrete ‘yard’ as a base. The excess needs to come out or we’ll struggle with drainage (and remove the MOT ‘overflow’).

Endless number of bricks to come out before throwing on the top soil.

Staying fine the next day, the wall gets another course and we make a start on the gate posts. Using 10mm spacers to sit the block on while the mortar sets (too much weight in each one for any stiffness of mix!).
