The two days of Christmas (the abridged version) brought a welcome break from the build.

But with the joy it brought, there was also sadness.

Our thoughts are with Marie and Mike, so much part of this build, praying that they, and all of the family, find the strength to cope with the loss of Marie’s father, Moss, by all accounts a great man.

The work continues, not all to plan:-

Complete the cladding – no – will need to complete the link.
Complete the link – no – waiting for the rear section to be remade.
Second fix the bathroom – no – waiting for the floor to be re-laid (4th & 5th Jan).
Complete log burner install and certification – no – they sent the wrong bit, apparently.
Board the kitchen – yes (!) – see below, it’s happening.

First fix underway upstairs, two bedrooms with en-suite, more of that tomorrow.

p.s. Guessing Father Christmas was somewhat relieved once he’d dropped this little number off … don’t you just love the sound of a disc cutter in the morning?
