Clad All Over
We’re not, perhaps we should have called on the Dave Clark Five to lend a hand and motivate Bodie and Doyle.
We were also 120 linear metres short, back to Garstang Timber, no issues with the profile this time (and they’ve honoured the agreement to cover our cost of correcting the error with the last one, top firm).
Plans for the week ahead – complete the cladding, board the kitchen, once the building inspector agrees we’ve now installed the correct amount of insulation (we’d forgotten the ‘foil’ sheet), get the log burner certified, fit the bathroom, may have Wednesday off, more of the same.
Back to the bathroom – spot any issues with the floor? The levels look great but there’s problems with the seams, as for the trim, make up your own mind.
Professional, specialist firm (no names yet)? We’ve requested that the whole job is re-done.
Kitchen ceiling gets insulated, but the job is stopped might flight – needs that foil layer.
Quick look at the downpipes – the theory is that you can still appreciate the line of the stone cill, the jury is still out.
Back to the foil. Most common, recent question? “When do you plant the cannabis?” Very silly ..
We also need to re-batten, there’s no way of ‘screwing’ plaster board on, through the foil.
Inspection passed, “very tidy job” apparently – wouldn’t expect anything less from Mr Bailey.
