Equinox

Equinox

The spring equinox came and went, but the dreadful virus started to take hold in the UK and around the world. We’ll take government advice and “lock down”.

(As a side note, Chris Whitty, with his calm authority and level of expertise, appears to be providing a clear strategy to halt the progression of coronavirus. A true legend, but apparently not very good at tennis).

We’ll complete what we can with what we’ve got, ordering what’s possible for delivery before suppliers will have to close.

Terminate Cat 6a sockets, beware the ‘bend radius’ of the cable – not convinced it has one (note for the future / for Baz – extra deep back boxes, or a different cable approach / entry / termination).

Note the service valve (bottom right, left) – for the outside tap – need a blanking plate with a ‘door’ – anyone?

To quote Peter Griffin, that well known former safety inspector at the happy-go-lucky toy factory, you know what really grinds my gears? When white wall plates aren’t remotely white! How difficult can it be to agree what colour white is?

In the voice of Mr Hyde, or was it Quasimodo?

The frames, the frames

We’ve cut out the middle man and spoken directly to the link frame manufacturer – Express Trade Frames , a chap called Chris (I think?). Top bloke – turns out they stuck the fixed rubber seal on the inside, when it should have been placed on the beads. We can then use the locking window gasket on the inside (far more secure!)

Off comes the seal from the fixed frame

Fix to the correct bead, wrap and wait for the glass (it’s been ordered but, as the Country takes emergency steps to save lives, we won’t expect to see it for a good while).
