Green Light
[November 2021]
With the underfloor heating pipework installed the screeding can be done. Tom’s new laser level in action (the green light) and the floor looking pretty ‘true’. The extra piece of black pipework is for the shower drain.
A layer of self-leveller to prevent / reduce ‘dusting’.
Partitions for the shower room, door frames and the outline of a TARDIS (every home should have one)
With the floors in, first fix plumbing and electrics can get underway (note the structured cabling, cat 6a, they’re in the fetching blue colour).
A plan is hatched for the wet room floor and the wall is framed to hide the ‘services’.
The fireplace gets a new look (likely to go with a geocast beam to finish off when plastered)
Voted weird contraption of the day, the Right Honourable Mr Bailey, the man with every tool under the sun (and beyond), has lent Tom his board lifter – turns boarding a ceiling into a one man job (assuming you’re strong enough to lift the boards onto the ‘lifter’!).
