Just for Marie
With the end of May now with us, and not a single post (apart from this one), a clear indication that the build has slowed, to a degree where snails look competitive. Talking of snails, the garden is getting a haircut, unlike the rest of us (are two metre long scissors really practical?).
With the weather holding, there’s plenty to entertain.
Wardrobes painted
Another skip filled and field drains added
More work completed on the soak-away (please be careful what you flush!).
Use the disc cutter to open up the broken end of the pipe, add a collar and a length of plastic pipe into the crate. Add membrane and gravel, re-use the old cover.
“Found” another box of bits for the kitchen (but no sign of the sink?), very swish:
And EWD, like a number of other people, wants to know what’s happening with the link glazing:-
There’s news! No, there really is news! This really is ‘breaking news’ Jaz! With the world trying to get back to normal, LHG have received the glazing units back from the manufacturer.
We just (just?) now need to wait until there’s someone available from the frame manufacturers – the current situation may mean another long wait. We’ll see.
On the hard landscaping front, making a start on the drive wall. At the current pace this could / will take months. Plenty of time to order materials (there’s something of a backlog at Berry’s).
And by way of introductions, this is Wobble. Lost a foot to what we’re assuming was Fringilla papillomavirus . Brave soul, and hungry most of the time.
And have you ever seen one of these? We’re assuming born in the wild and also, sadly, likely to be the first and last time we see this baby pheasant.
