Madness

Madness

With a few late nights and 15 litres of paint, the kitchen walls are white again. Music of choice to ‘roll’ too? From Madness to SLF, The Dickies to Oasis, Buzzcocks to AC/DC, X-Ray Spex to The Communards, it turns out Cat Stevens topped the chart, who knew? Holding G & K responsible.

The ceiling didn’t get re-done, so we’ll need to clean up the join between it and the wall. Then get painting.

We’re using Leyland Super Leytex Matt Emulsion, which ran out one evening. Had a tub of Wickes own to continue with – should have waited for the shops to re-open. Talking of which, don’t buy chosen paint from Nicksons in Garstang – their price £47.30, Berry’s ? £19.80. Seriously, buyer beware.

With a brief break in the weather and the days lengthening, the outside gets its first coat Osmo UV protection oil. One coat, one side, that was it.

While the paint dries, terminate the cables for the Triax Domestic Distribution Unit (DDU).
