Mags

A dog with true talent (couldn’t quite work a bark related pun / joke / punchline in there – feel free to create your own, answers on a postcard, will be used to light a welcome blaze).

The new year has brought plenty of indoor activities – a stack of jobs that had been waiting for a rainy / snowy / freezing day (we’ve now had enough!)

Some poorly fitted gaskets have now been replaced:-

The protective strips and pads have finally been removed with most of the ‘construction’ work complete – they’re even ‘safe’ to clean!

Deliberately left blank

(pictures of clean windows would take us that bit closer to achieving the ” dullest blog post since ‘drainage’ ” award)

The link has had some work, paint and point, a swanky light fitting and blinds:

The frames upstairs have had knotting solution applied and painted (yes, yes, talking of qualifying for dullest…. just don’t forget to do it – really annoying, weeks after you’ve achieved a perfect finish and everyone has cooed over the quality – hang on, that’s not quite allowed is it? Perhaps one relative? In the garden? Looking through a now, clean window?).

And, 30 litres of white emulsion later, the walls and ceilings are done.

Spot the difference – the stairs have had a couple of coats of varnish (one more required?)

Momentous moment – the fencing is coming down!

Tried to bridge the gap between paving and dropped curb with gravel laid on a sand and cement mix. May need to revisit.
